'New' School Lane
The next era has begun . . .
It is in this year that Pegasus Juniors FC celebrate 50 years of football in the Hereford community and excitingly we leap into a new generation by redeveloping the Old School Lane home and building the foundations of a 'NEW' School Lane.
Herefordshire club Pegasus Juniors have improved the Old School Lane Ground to National League System level five standard to enable the hosting of Premier Division fixtures ofthe GLS Football Hellenic League and West Midlands Womens League matches, plus the prestigous FA Cup, FA Vase and FA Womens Cup.
The ground has been fenced for security, the pitch has been levelled with a drainage system installed and the pitch reseeded.
Eight floodlighting columns have been installed, the columns are the latest design by the installing company, this being only the second project for this type of unit.
The old changing rooms have been gutted, extended and refurbished. There are two chaning rooms for referees.
There is still plenty of work required to be undertaken in order to bring the facilities in the complex to the requisite standard.
First year Brickwork students from Hereford college of Technology, recently volunteered to give of their services to erect nine stepped blockwork piers, the foundations to receive 3 metre long concrete beams which will form the main platform for a 150 person seated area for the Pegasus Junior Football Club, at Old School Lane, Hereford. The materials were supplied to the club and the students completed the building under the watchful eye of college lecturer Chris Hyde.
